At the annual conference of British Property Federation (BPF) ,the country’s biggest property developers and investors handed a report called
‘The Future of Renting’ to housing minister .This report is a reply to a government review of rental and calls for a radical reshaping of the housing market that would ease the burden to ensure renewed investment by seeing new properties come forward to save thousands of jobs.
There is a ridiculous situation where increasing demand yet house builders are stepping out of the market because they have nobody to sell to.If there is a corporate rental sector here as they do in Europe, it provides continued investment and thousands of extra new homes, as well as ensures that the big house builders had somebody to sell their stock to and public had the benefits of a branded rental sector.
British Property Federation says the private rented sector should be market-based.It sould be continue to expand to meet housing need. It sould be tackle those pursuing bad standards which are leaving those pursuing good standards unencumbered. It sould be have costs that are transparent and terms that are jargon-free. It sould be pursue a consumer law-led approach also recommended by the Law Commission.
